EMMETT Technique
- Full session (30-50 mins): £45
The EMMETT Technique is a unique form of complementary body therapy that involves the application of light finger pressure and gentle switches at specific points to release the tensions in muscle and muscle groups.
It is amazingly gentle, safe and easy to apply muscle release therapy, created by Ross Emmett, used to address pain and discomfort, improve body movement, restore a positive emotional state and improve quality of life.
It can work well as a standalone therapy but can easily be combined with therapies such as the Bowen Technique; Jacky may combine within a therapy session where appropriate.
What happens in a treatment?
People can be treated seated, standing or lying down. The treatment can be applied directly to the skin or through clothing. Sessions can last anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes if the EMMETT Technique is used alone, up to 45 minutes if combined with another modality such as the Bowen Technique. The result can sometimes be instantaneous physical change, with most clients recognising the improvements in pain levels before leaving the clinic, or changes felt over the following few days.
Jacky will often use both the EMMETT Technique and the Bowen Technique combined within a therapy session where appropriate .
