1-to-1 Nutritional Weight Management

Up to 9 sessions at fortnightly intervals are recommended, but for many people two sessions about a month apart is enough to get them on the road to losing weight in a healthy way.
When people are over weight they can get caught up in a never-ending cycle of diets and low times where their weight piles on and they feel helpless to do anything about it.
There are numerous organisations, books and plans around that offer advice and diets that can ‘fix’ you and get you to lose the pounds. Many of these do achieve astounding results over short periods and all may have their place but at well beans we offer a different approach...
...most other weight management and dieting services are provided within a group of other people. Our unique approach is to guarantee you complete attention and support in a one-to-one setting, quality time and advice to help you reach your weight management goals.
We will look just at you and we will listen to you and work with you. We are friendly and have an easy going approach, but we are thorough and will look at aspects such as how you eat, what you like to eat and why you eat to get a complete picture of how to tailor a weight management strategy to suit you.
At well beans there are no hidden extras or supplements. Through dietary and activity analysis and careful attention to you, we will help you to make the changes you need to get back to a healthy weight... because we all came from a healthy weight and there is absolutely no reason why we shouldn’t be there and stay there again.
Being at your ideal weight will help you to feel better and to feel better about yourself, who you are and could also mean untold improvement in your state of health, your future health and longevity.
At well beans we aim for a weight loss of no more than 1 to 2 lbs per week as this is a realistic and above all healthy rate of weight loss. Losing weight at this rate is sustainable and will be much more likely to stay off than any diet ‘fix’ that encourages you to lose weight too quickly. Likewise, if a person needs to gain weight this should be approached in a controlled manner.
All sessions can be taken at our practice in Pakenham, Ixworth, near to Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. Sessions are initially weekly, with a nine week course advised. It may be necessary to have further sessions at intervals, depending on how much weight needs to be lost (or gained).
The initial session goes into great detail to find out your current situation - we will look to assess your weight management history, your attitudes, preferences and feelings about food, what your lifestyle is, your activity levels and what goals you have about your weight and body. Detailed dietary and activity analysis will be undertaken and goals planned.
Following sessions will unfold according to your needs, and will include further dietary analysis to monitor progress. Often just two sessions approximately one month apart will be all that is required to get you losing weight in a healthy way. At each session we aim to support and inspire you, offering plenty of ideas and guidance with supporting handout material provided as appropriate. Some increase in activity levels may be required, alongside changes to eating, but nothing that you don’t feel comfortable with - no requirement to join a gym or run a marathon - unless you would like to!
